Jordanian parties message to King Abdullah

The higher coordination committee of the Jordanian national parties has sent a message to King Abdullah II undersigned by some 13 parties and written, according to the Jordanian bimonthly magazine al-Majd ( the glory) in its Monday's issue by Fouad Dabbour, the assistant secretary general of the progressive Arab Baath Party.
After commending the stances taken by the Jordanian monarch towards Iraq, the message urged the government to end constriction of public freedom and the freedom of expression as well as to allow the masses to express their stances which reject the American aggression against Iraq.
The message urged a move at the Arab level in order to formulate a united Arab position in order to avert the danger for Iraq and the Arab leaders to meet in an extraordinary Arab summit conference in order to hold consultation and work for preventing aggression.
The Jordanian parties expressed their hope that the Jordanian monarch will halt the Jordanian- American military maneuvers at this time in particular, due to be held by the end of this month.
