Morocco's energy bill 14.5% lower during first half of 2002

Morocco's energy imports went down by 14.5% with 9.34 billion Dirhams (US$ 0.93 billion) during the first half of 2002, compared to 10.92 billion Dirhams (US$ 1.09 billion) during the same period last year, the exchange office said.
The decrease is due to a drop in imports (-11.2%), gasoline and fuel (-52.9%) and other hydrocarbons (-21.7%).
