Al-Rai al-Aam: Sudanese opposition coalition to meet with government's delegation

The commission of the leadership of the Sudanese opposition coalition has agreed to meet and hold discussions with a delegation representing the Sudanese government chaired by Qutbi al-Mahdi, the advisor of the Sudanese President for political affairs.

An official source at the coalition's leadership in Eritrea's capital, Asmara, said in a statement, issued on Friday by the Sudanese daily al-Rai al-Aam, the commission approved in its recent meeting in Asmara the request conveyed by the Eritrean leadership to the chairman of the coalition Muhammad Othman al-Meirghani on the desire of the Sudanese government to send a high level delegation in order to hold discussions with the opposition coalition. This was made under the mediation of Eritrea.
