Calls for Liberation of Moroccans Sequestered in Tindouf
Morocco-Algeria, Politics, 8/16/2002
Participants at a rally, held Dakhla Wednesday to celebration of the third anniversary of Morocco's recovery of Oued Eddahab southern province, called the international community to intervene urgently for the liberation of the Moroccans sequestered in Tindouf camps (Algeria).
The meeting denounced the sufferings, humiliation and torture inflicted upon the sequestered by the separatists and the inhumane situation they are living. They called on United Nations Secretary General, Kofi Annan, to intervene urgently for their release.
Participants also decried the maneuvers of the enemies of Morocco's territorial integrity, particularly the Algerian proposal to partition the Moroccan Sahara.
