French wheat for Jordan
Jordan-France, Economics, 8/15/2002

The Jordanian government has received a French wheat shipment estimated at 5,000 tons of a total value of one million dollars.

Jordanian ministry of agriculture sources which received the said shipment from the UN World Food program said that this French aid comes to support the development and small projects in Jordan where it will be distributed on 25,000 families effected by the drought in the southern and eastern provinces of the countries.

The sources considered this shipment is the last shift of the French government aid to Jordan, estimated at 11,000 tons of wheat, in order to withstand the drought in the country.
