One Lebanese lady killed in an explosion in the eastern suburb of Beirut

One Lebanese woman was killed on Sunday and her daughter was greatly wounded in an explosion in an area situated in the Eastern suburb of Beirut, according to the Lebanese police source. The explosion took place on Sunday in Batshai village in Baabda area where the Lebanese presidential palace is situated.
The bomb went off in the flat of al-Aqouri family and killed Maha Aqouri and wounded her daughter Dolli. The police said it had opened an investigation on that incident and so far has no evidence on the identity of those who committed the crimes or their intention.
The sources said that the building where the explosion took place is owned by a guard in Romeh prison, the main prison in Lebanon. Attacks in Baabda area are very rare because it is so close to the Presidential palace .
Al-Hazemeyah- Baabda area witnessed people's unrest just three months ago after the killing of Ramzi Dirani one member in the banned Lebanese forces party who lived in the area in circumstances which are still vague.
