Saudi Arabia handed over 16 al-Qaida members from Iran
Saudi Arabia-Iran, Politics, 8/12/2002

The Saudi foreign minister prince Saud al-Faisal stressed that Saudi Arabia received from Iran some 16 persons suspected to be involved to terrorist organizations. He said the men are interrogated and every one proved not to be guilty will be released, and others will be brought before the judiciary for trial. He stressed that Iran's cooperation with his country was important and useful.

Worthy mentioning that Saudi Arabia and Iran are linked to a security agreement signed by the two countries ministers of the interior in Tehran in April, 2001.
