Egyptian professor gets UNESCO awards for international musical prize

The UNESCO decided to grant its international prize for music this year to Essam Al Mallah, professor of nations' music at Munich university and head of Oman Center for Traditional Music in Masqat.
He won the prize among 70 others. Al Mallah succeeded to turn Oman Center into a specialized authority in keeping folk musical heritage of Oman providing the opportunity for the world to get acquainted with heritage throughout the activities of the documentary and informational center.
He is expected to receive the prize in a big celebration in the international music center in Germany on 9th of next November.
