US ambassador in Beirut discusses with President Lahoud tension in Ein al-Helweh camp

The US ambassador in Beirut Vincent Battle on Thursday visited the Lebanese President at Baabda Presidential palace.
Following the meeting, the American ambassador said he had discussed with President Lahoud the situation in Ein al-Helweh camp and the question of sectarianism, and grave consequences of discussing matters on sectarian bases.
Meantime, well-informed sources in Beirut on Thursday loomed the US concentrated interest on the Palestinian Ein al-Helweh camp in South Lebanon which has been witnessing an increasing and escalated tension since the killing of three Lebanese military men in July at the hands of one Lebanese extremist armed men who was protected by an "extremist Palestinian group" before the killer was handed over to the Lebanese authorities.
