Amman: Muasher confers with Palestinian delegation
Jordan-Palestine, Politics, 8/9/2002

The Jordanian official news agency, Petra, said that a Palestinian delegation held talks in Amman with Jordanian officials concerning the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, especially in regard of the gradual withdrawal plan by the Israeli army.

The agency explained that the Palestinian civil affairs minister Jamil al-Tureifi informed the Jordanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Marwan Muasher of the "failure of the Palestinian- Israeli meetings" in this regard. He held Israel responsible for that.

Al-Tueifi was accompanied in his visit by the advisor of the Palestinian President for national security Muhammad Dahlan.

For his part, Muasher briefed the Palestinian officials with the results of the recent talks the Jordanian King Abdullah II held in Washington with the US President George Bush.
