Algeria: Six armed Islamists killed, 16 arrested

Six Islamists were killed and other 16 arrested by the Algerian security forces in Bumreides, 50 Km to the east of the capital Algiers on Tuesday, according to local dailies issued on Wednesday. The six Islamists were killed by the army in an operation in "O'mal" ( workers), between Bumreides and al-Buweira areas ( 120 Km to the southern east, according to the papers.
In Delies, east Bumerdeis, the Algerian security arrested 16 persons suspected to belong to a group supporting the armed Islamists, according to these sources.
