Al Ahdath Al Maghribia: 76% of Moroccans deem political parties necessary for democracy

Some 76% of Moroccans deem political parties necessary for the democracy building, according to a poll.

According to the poll, whose results were published Monday by "Al Ahdath Al Maghribia" daily, 80% of people interviewed want the unemployment issue to be on top of the next government's concerns, followed by healthcare (78%), education and corruption fighting (75%), justice (74%), literacy (73%) and drought fighting (72%).

The poll was conducted on a sample of 1011 people across Morocco.

It covered the Moroccan voters' intention to vote, the importance they grant political life and the role of political parties in democracy building. Questions also related to the composition of the next government as speculated by Moroccans and the fields that should be dealt with first.
