Iran will refuse Iraqi refugees if Iraq is attacked

The Iranian minister of the interior Abdul Wahid Lari on Monday announced that his country would refuse to receive Iraqi refugees in case an American attack is launched against Iraq.
The Iranian news agency quoted the minister as saying that in case any attack is launched, the likely Iraqi refugees "will be sheltered outside the Iranian territories and inside Iraq itself." He explained "We will not commit the same mistakes of the past. This time the likely Iraqi refugees will be sheltered inside Iraq and not on the Iranian territories."
Lari said:" Our western borders are expected to witness problems and we have to be ready for that in order to alleviate its consequences on the situation in the country."
