Israel arrests Hamas official in Jenin

The Israeli army on Sunday arrested the official for the Hamas movement in Jenin, the West Bank.

A spokesman for the Israeli army said that Mazin al-Fuqahaa was arrested in Toubas, 15 Km to the southern east of Jenin. The Israeli radio quoted Israeli military sources as saying that al-Fuqahaa had planned for the suicide operation against a bus in northern Israel which resulted in killing nine Israelis, and that he delivered an explosive belt to the man who executed the operation.

The same spokesman said other six Palestinians were detained and one is being chased by the Israeli army.
