Three Yemenis sentences over blowing off Anglican church

A Yemeni court on Saturday in Aden issues imprisonment sentences ranging between two to six years against three Yemenis who were convicted of carrying out three explosion operations one of them targeted the Anglican church in Aden ( southern Yemen) in 2001.
Ali Nasser Ali Aead was sentenced of three years imprisonment, Anees Muhammad Abdo al-Awli of two and a half years, and Fares Saleh al-Taher of two years imprisonment. The latter is currently jailed over being involved in an attack by explosives against the British embassy in Sanaa in October 2000.
A fourth man was found not guilty. The three other men, who belong to the Islamic trend, were convicted of implementing explosions on January first and second, 2001 against an Anglican church and Aden Continental hotel and the exterior area of the Yemeni news agency. The explosions resulted in large material losses but no human casualties were reported.
