Saudi Arabia, Iran call for halting 'Israel's crimes'
Saudi Arabia-Iran, Politics, 8/5/2002

The foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and Iran have expressed their deep concern over the escalation of the Israeli acts and killing of Palestinians. They also stressed their countries rejection to any aggression against any Arab and Islamic states, including Iraq.

The Saudi foreign minister prince Saud al-Faisal and his Iranian counterpart Kamal Kharazi denounced during their talks in Tehran on Saturday Israel's expanding the area of unrest and pushing the region towards further tension and escalation.

They stressed the need of exerting more efforts in order to restore back the usurped rights of the Palestinian people, and to put an end to "the crimes committed by the Israeli forces against the Palestinians."

The two sides called on the international community, including the Organization of the Islamic conference OIC to place pressure on Israel to abide by international legitimacy resolutions.

The two ministers discussed bilateral relations and means of developing them in all fields.
