German-Arab Chamber of Commerce propagates foreign investment opportunities in Egypt

"The German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce decided to construct a site on the Internet in cooperation with the IMF to propagate the foreign investment opportunities available in Egypt," said Executive Director Peter Geopfrisch, adding it comes within the other services rendered by the Chamber like drawing up feasibility studies for foreign companies, offering help for concluding trade deals between foreign and local companies and following up the most important projects in Egypt and Germany.

An official at the Washington-based International Monetary Fund (IMF) which supervises the new site, said despite a recent drop in foreign investments in Arab states, inter-Arab trade and investment were on rise.

He added the new site will be dedicated for propagating investment opportunities available in Egypt not only in the Arab world but all over the world in a bid to put the country on the international investment chart. "It will also help the foreign investors to easily get information about Egypt's business climate," he said.
