Al-Baz stress Egypt's strong rejection to striking Iraq
Egypt-Iraq, Politics, 8/1/2002

Osama al-Baz, the political advisor for the Egyptian president has renewed his country's categorical rejection to any military strike against Iraq. He warned against thinking of carrying out a step in this regard.

In statements he made in Cairo on Wednesday, al-Baz said that striking Iraq is a matter which is full of dangers and will achieve no positive goal, rather will cause further deterioration of conditions in the Middle East.

Al-Baz also warned against the consequences of partitioning Sudan, stressing Syria's efforts to preserve Sudan's unity and territorial integrity.

He explained that permitting the partition of Sudan into two parts will be a phenomenon that might extend to other neighboring countries on the grounds of language, and tribal or ethnic affiliation. A matter which will create a state of instability and disorder. SANA.
