Moroccan Coach Named Head of IAAF's Member Federations Services Department

Moroccan Abdelmalek Lahbil was appointed this month head of the Member Federations Services Department of the International Athletics Associations Federation.
Lahbil, who has been working for the IAAF since 1985, will be supervising the high performances Training Centers and the training of top athletes.
Of his new assignment, he says "the ambitious project to establish new appropriate structures (housing, training and medical supervision) in different countries of the world seeks to prepare under-23 athletes to accede to top level."
Abdelmalek Lahbil, a former athlete and football player, served as vice-chairman of the Moroccan Royal Athletics Federation (FRMA) from 1985 to 1995 before chairing the eastern athletics league and the Oujda football club.
He also served abroad mainly as technical manager of the United Arab Emirates' athletics union and advisor-expert at the Qatar's Union.
