Somalia killings, wounded in violent clashes

Eye- witnesses said that at least 15 persons were killed and 40 wounded in violent fighting that took place in Beedawa town, southern Somalia.
The witnesses said that most of the killed are civilians who were besieged in a fire exchange during clashes started last Saturday between hundreds of fighting militia men.
During the clashes residential areas were bombarded and hundreds of families left their houses.
Hospitals sources stressed that at least two persons were killed, adding that several victims could not reach the hospital because of the fighting.
