Moroccan association warns against Israeli tv in Arabic
Morocco-Israel, Politics, 7/27/2002

A Moroccan information and communication association (AMPIC) has warned against the dangers posed by the launching by Israel of a TV channel in Arabic.

This channel, which will beam towards Arab and Islamic countries, is "part of the war waged by Israel against Palestinians in particular and against Arabs in general," the AMPIC said in a release.

"The Israeli TV airs propaganda programs meant to sow discord among the Arab public opinion through casting doubt on the Palestinian people's struggle and circulating Zionist and colonialist theses," the association said, adding "the channel tries to embellish the ugly face of the Zionists through concealing the crimes perpetrated against the Palestinian people."

The association called on the Moroccan viewers "to boycott the Israeli TV and be vigilant in order not to be drifted by the fallacious information aired by the channel."
