Saleh in Germany for medical tests

A Yemeni official source has announced that the Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh headed on Wednesday for Germany where he will be subjected to "medical tests." No details were given about the nature of the medical tests which he will be subject to in Germany, which he had visited last June, 2001 for the same reasons.
President Saleh celebrated the 24th anniversary of his accession to authority on June 17, 1978 in former Northern Yemen. He stayed as a president for the country after the unification of Yemen in 1990.
