King of Bahrain discusses with Blair the situation in the region

A round of talks was held on Wednesday between the British prime minister Tony Blair and the King of Bahrain, Sheikh Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. Talks reviewed bilateral relations, regional and international issues, foremost being the Middle East peace process and the importance of reaching a just and comprehensive solution in the region.
The King of Bahrain expressed his satisfaction over the results of contacts concludes by the Arab ministers and the Quartet delegation representing the EU, the US, the UN and Russia. He called for the Israeli withdrawal from the occupied territories to be made in September and to return back to the table of negotiations between the Israeli and the Palestinians.
