Iraq calls on China for strong position towards crisis

The Iraqi vice President Taha Yassin Ramadan on Wednesday called on China to adopt a firm stand in the face of the American policy towards Iraq, according to the Iraqi news agency.
The agency said that Ramadan explained during his meeting with a delegation representing the Chinese communist party led by the chairman of the foreign contacts department of the party that "Iraq calls for a multilateral world and to equity in international relations, non interference in internal affairs of people, security and peace to prevail the world, and rejection of the policy of hegemony imposed by the 'American administration of evil' against several world countries."
China is one of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council.
For his part, the Chinese official stressed his country's interest to develop relations with China and continued efforts to develop these relations. He also stressed that the visit of his delegation to "Iraq will be an opportunity to exchange views between our two parties and consolidate friendship relations between our two peoples.
