Israel bombards southern Lebanese areas

The Israeli forces on Tuesday afternoon bombarded the Lebanese side of the border with Israel, at a time when Israeli troops continue reinforcement acts in the occupied Shebaa farms.

Lebanese security sources said the Israeli artillery fired 8 shells at Kafer Shouba, Shebaa and the surrounding of al-Saddanah and Burket al-Naqqar area.

The Lebanese sources said that heavy machine guns opened fire from al-Ramtha and Rweisat al-Sammaqa at the valleys surrounding the two positions and the route linking Kafer Shouba to Shebaa.

Meantime, the Lebanese army announced that Israeli warplanes violated the Lebanese airspace and flew in the airspace of south Lebanon and Lebanon Mount at various altitude, breaking the sound barrier and were intercepted by the Lebanese air defense unit, according to a statement by the Lebanese national resistance.
