Al-Assad gets messages from Saudi crown prince, Musharraf
Syria's President Bashar al-Assad on Monday in Damascus received the Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal. The meeting was attended by the Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk al-Shara. Al- Faisal conveyed a message from the Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz relating to results of visits and contacts he recently held with certain sides concerned with the Middle East peace process.

Moroccans hold symbolic rally in islet after Spain's pullout
Several Moroccan non-governmental organizations have staged a symbolic rally on Sunday in the village of Jbel Moussa, which sits between the Mediterranean Islet of Tourah/Leila (less than 200 meters from the Moroccan coast) and Sebta (a Moroccan northern city still under Spanish rule) to mark the Spanish soldiers' pullout from the islet.

Continued acts of violence in the Palestinian territories
The Israeli forces on Monday arrested 12 Palestinians in the West Bank, six of them in Nablus, 4 in Deir al-Addoum in Toulkarem and one from al-Misbah village to the west of Ramullah and one from Selat al-Daher, while three Palestinians were wounded in Khan Younis by the Israeli tanks and a fourth Palestinian was also wounded in Toulkarem.

An Egyptian judicial source said that the state attorney in Egypt decided to arrest 15 persons of the " al-Takfir and al-Hijra" group and to hold them 15 days in custody for investigation under the charges of "holding the president as non-believer and trying to topple the regime." The source added that members of the security department arrested "al-Takfir and al-Hijra" group members in the governorates of al-Qalyoubeyah, al-Jiza and Cairo on Sunday and those include "engineers, teachers and farmers."
