Al-Assad gets messages from Saudi crown prince, Musharraf

Syria's President Bashar al-Assad on Monday in Damascus received the Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal. The meeting was attended by the Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk al-Shara. Al- Faisal conveyed a message from the Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz relating to results of visits and contacts he recently held with certain sides concerned with the Middle East peace process.
Discussions dealt with developments of regional and international conditions.
President al-Assad also received on Monday in Damascus the Pakistani minister of sciences and technology Ataa al-Rahman. The meeting was attended by the minister of higher education Hassan Reshe and the Pakistani ambassador in Damascus.
The President got a message delivered by al-Rahman from the Pakistan President Musharraf pertinent to bilateral relations between the two countries. Discussions dealt with prospects of cooperation between the two countries in various fields especially in scientific and technological areas.
