UAE donation for rebuilding Jenin camp

UNRWA said on Saturday that the United Arab Emirates UAE Red Crescent gave a donation of USD 27 million to rebuild and fix buildings of Jenin Camp in the West Bank.
In a statement issued in Gaza, UNRWA said that the "UAE's Red Crescent society in an agreement with UNRWA provides USD 27 million for the rebuilding and maintenance of Jenin Camp in the West Bank following the incidents of April this year."
The statement added that this sum ( USD 27 million) will be used for rebuilding and maintaining the houses, infrastructure and public utilities destroyed or damaged during the fighting took place in April."
The statement said that UNRWA estimates that some 400 Palestinian families have become homeless after their houses were completely destroyed following the Israeli military acts besides damages inflicted on other 1500 houses." The statement also said that UNRWA vowed to rebuild the camp, in three phases, within the two coming years.
