Egypt denies requesting the US to postpone attacking Iraq
Egypt-Iraq, Politics, 7/22/2002
The Egyptian foreign ministry has denied news reports that the foreign ministers of Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Jordan had asked the US President George Bush during their meeting with him to postpone directing a blow for Iraq for one year time.
The spokesman for the ministry stressed on Sunday that what was stated by Qatari al-Jazeera TV station is baseless. He explained that the issue of Iraq was not discussed during the visit of the three Arab ministers to New York, noting that the Palestinian question was the only topic on their agenda.
