300 participants expected in Morocco's 1st international cricket tournament

About 300 participants from Pakistan, South Africa and Sri Lanka, will be taking part next August 11-22 in the international cricket tournament of Tangiers, the first to be ever held in Morocco.
Chairman of the Moroccan royal cricket federation, Chakib Nejjar, told reporters the tournament prize is worth US$ 250,000.
Contests will be held in a new stadium which required a US$ 25 million investment. The new facility includes a football stadium, swimming pools, tennis courts, a gymnasium and other infrastructure.
Competitions will be supervised by the International Cricket Council.
Morocco set up in November 2001 the Royal Cricket Federation to promote the practice of cricket in the Kingdom.
