$ 8 billion in losses to the Palestinian economy

The secretary of the ministry of planning and international cooperation in the Palestinian authority Ali Shaath has stressed that the Palestinian losses resulting from the Israeli occupation is estimated at more than $ 8 billion.

Meantime, the chairman of the Palestinian environmental authority in Gaza Yousef Abu Safeyah said that the losses are "big." The losses are inflicted on the Palestinian sectors as a result of the aggression and the operations of destruction and siege carried by Israel the officials say.

He accused the Israeli forces of uprooting 20,,000 olive tress. He explained that losses in this regard (of uprooting trees) reached $ 400 million. He said "we have lost the production of seven years for these trees while thousands of families lost their income sources."
