Association of victims of Polisario human rights violations opens branch in spain

The association of victims of human rights violations by the Polisario opened on Monday an office in Algesiras (extreme southern Spain).
The association, which appointed its chairman and executive bureau members, said it aims to explain to the Spanish people, political forces and civil society that a whole generation of the Sahara population, born during the Spanish occupation, were victim of human rights breaches by the Polisario, An Algeria-backed guerilla movement claiming the independence of the Sahara, Morocco's southern provinces liberated by Morocco in 1975 from Spanish occupation.
The association which recalls various drives taken to prompt international organizations, such as Amnesty International, to adopt resolutions calling Algeria, as a signatory country of the human rights convention, to bring before justice the Polisario torturers, deplored that polisario members who killed innocent people, are presently living on Spanish territory.
The association also urges for intensifying efforts to reveal crimes against humanity perpetrated in the polisario jails, denounce the killers and torturers and bring them before international justice.
