Six killed in clash between warring groups

Six persons were killed, three of them from a landmine explosion, during confrontation between warring armed groups in southern Somalia.
Independent sources said that the six killed persons are five fighters and one civilian.
The battles started on Monday in the central Shabeel district. A group official said that his men killed 15 fighters from a rival group. However, these statements could not be confirmed.
The commander and spokesman of one of the groups called Muhammad Moussa Muhammad Abdullah said "our men have implanted mines in the road to halt attacks at Wartas village."
