Egypt-Israel, Politics, 7/17/2002
The Israeli radio said on Tuesday that Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak on Tuesday made a phone call with the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon.
The Hebrew language radio added that Mubarak asked Sharon to agree to receive the chairman of the Egyptian intelligence Omar Suleiman and to hold talks with him.
The radio added that the phone call lasted 15 minutes, during which talks were very friendly, especially following the visit carried out by Israel's Defense Minister Benyamin Ben Eliezer to Cairo on Monday and his meeting with President Mubarak.
