US: Iraq lifts travel restriction on diplomats
Iraq-USA, Politics, 7/17/2002

Iraq informed Poland -- which represents the American interests in Baghdad -- that it will lift the restrictions Iraq imposes on the travel of Polish diplomats on its territories.

The US Department of State said that its secretary Colin Powell was informed about the Iraqi position during a meeting he had held with his Polish counterpart.

A US official who asked to be anonymous said that the Polish side informed the American side they are waiting the return back of matters to what they had been before.

Worthy mentioning that Poland is running the American interests in Iraq while Pakistan is supervising the Iraqi interests in Washington.
