Moussa: Arab states to prevent any threats against Iraq
Regional-Iraq, Politics, 7/16/2002
Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa underlined that there is an Arab diplomatic drive to prevent any threat against Iraq.
In an interview with TV programme "Good Morning, Egypt" Monday, Moussa said Arabs will not stand hand folded and they know quite well the US stance and statements by a large number of US officials.
He added that we built bridges between Iraq and the UN in official deliberations to show that Iraq is cooperating with the UN.
In reply to a question on the Arab initiative, he said that the initiative is very important as it defines a framework for the Arab action.
This stance is presenting the Arab peace terms namely the full withdrawal from the Arab territories occupied in 1967, he added.
