Syria signs agreement establishing the Arab Woman Organization agreement

Syria's ambassador in Cairo Youssef Ahmad, who is also Syria's representative at the Arab League has signed the agreement providing for the foundation of the Arab Woman Organization, whose higher council is composed of the first Arab ladies ( wives of heads of states) and from which stems the Arab woman summit conference.
The Arab Woman Organization, however, aims at strengthening common Arab coordination in the area of developing the position of the woman and enhancing her role in society and coordinating stances of the Arab women at the Arab and international circles as well as promoting awareness on issues relating to cultural, economic and social aspects and women's potentials to take part in the pan development plans in the Arab states.
