Al-Nas: Yemen underestimates American military support

The Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh has underestimated the importance of the American military support for Yemen, noting that this American support is limited to providing expertise and certain technical equipment.
In a statement to the independent Yemeni weekly al-Nas ( the people), Saleh said that the US, the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund support the development process in Yemen. A process which is apart from the military aspect.
The Yemeni president disclosed that thousands of Yemenis are in custody for investigations on their likely membership in al-Qaida organization.
