BBC: Jordan postpones 'cultural festival' events

Jordan announced that the Israeli occupation authorities prevented the Palestinian cultural delegation from taking part in the festivals carried out in the Jordanian capital Amman, in its being the capital for Arab culture for 2002.
In a statement to the BBC on Monday, the minister of culture said that Jordan has postponed the opening of the said festivals as a result of the grave incidents taking place in the occupied Palestinian territories.
