Palestinians face new entry procedures to Jordan

Jordan has started to implement new procedures for Palestinians of the West bank who carry "temporary" passports and want to enter into the Jordanian territories. The new law includes introduction of justice or banking guarantees.

An official at the Jordanian ministry of the interior said that any Palestinian who carries the "temporary passport" and wants to enter the Jordanian territories has to have a financial banking guarantee that range between 2,000 to 5,000 Jordanian Dinars.

The source stressed that this law covers those who are covered by humanitarian conditions, students or those attending family activities in Jordan.

The new law set to one month the visiting period that can not be extended.
