Israeli official to visit the US

The director of the Israeli prime minister's office will meet with the US Secretary Of State Colin Powell during his visit to the USA which started on Sunday as a delegate by the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon, at the request of the American side. This visit will be prior to the meeting of the four member committee with the representatives of Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt on Wednesday.
The Israeli radio said on Saturday that Israeli official will brief the American officials about the Israeli position concerning the measures taken by the Palestinian authority.
