Al-Hayat: The US appreciates Syria's support

A US diplomatic source told the London- based al-Hayat daily on Saturday that the administration of the US President George Bush highly appreciated the support given by Syria in the framework of fighting al-Qaida organization.

The source which was not identified by the paper explained that the file of terrorism has not been closed yet, calling on Syria to close offices that belong to the Palestinian organizations such as the People Front For the Liberation of Palestine- general command- and the Islamic Jihad, and the Hamas movement and asking workers in these offices to go to another place and to seal off their training centers.

The source also called on Syria not to permit the Lebanese Hizbullah Party to use its territories as a passage for its military equipment.
