Al-Jarullahto al-Anbaa: Iraq still constitutes a threat for Kuwait
Kuwait-Iraq, Politics, 7/15/2002

The Kuwaiti foreign ministry secretary Khaled al- Jarullah has stressed that Iraq still constitutes a threat to Kuwait and to the countries of the region because it still refuses the implementation of UN resolutions concerned relating to the occupation of Kuwait.

In a statement to the Kuwaiti daily al-Anbaa issued on Sunday, al-Jarullah stressed the need that Iraq should respond to the return back of UN inspectors and to express its peaceful intention, if any, in word and action.

On the obligations pronounced by Iraq at the Beirut Arab summit concerning the case between it and Kuwait, al-Jarullah denied anything to have been achieved. He renewed the call on Baghdad to abide by its promises and fully implement UN resolutions, especially the release of the Kuwaiti prisoners so as Iraq will be accepted by Kuwait and the international community.
