African executives attend training seminar on control of drinking water quality in Rabat

Some 14 executives and engineers working in drinking water facilities in 13 French speaking African countries took part in a training seminar on drinking water held in Rabat June 17-July 12.
The seminar on "Control and follow up of drinking water quality" was sponsored by the Moroccan drinking water utility (ONEP) and the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Japanese Agency said in a release.
The seminar, the second of the kind, focused on Japan's experience in the field of drinking water processing and management, and on the influence of algae on water processing.
The seminar is part of a five-session training program in the field of drinking water and sanitation, set under an agreement between JICA and ONEP for the 2001-2005 period.
