Jordan warns of attacking Iraq, denies American forces on its territories

The Jordanian Prime Minister Ali Abul Ragheb has stressed that news published by certain papers that there are American forces in Jordanian military bases that will take part in striking Iraq, are groundless.
During his meeting with the press on Thursday in Amman, Abul Ragheb added that several Jordanian officials and ministers denied on several occasions these news, noting I personally also deny these claims and confirm they are null and void." The Jordanian prime minister called on Arab and foreign press to visit the Jordanian military bases to make sure of this matter.
He reiterated Jordan's clear and declared position in rejecting attacking Iraq and also Jordan's care to maintain Iraq's unity and territorial integrity and rejection to interference in its internal affairs.
Abul Ragheb said that on several occasions, the Jordanian King Abdullah II and during his meetings with American officials stressed Jordan's rejection to any aggression against Iraq and that he stressed that any attack against Iraq will lead to a catastrophe and adverse results on the region as a whole.
