Egypt receives stolen mummy from US
Egypt, Local, 7/11/2002
The officials at Michael Carlos museum in American Emory University welcomed the return of King Ramsis I mummy to Egypt. The mummy was stolen from Egypt 150 years ago. The museum officials said the mummy return would not affect the museum plans to showcase it in May 2003 and April 2004.
The museum officials called for comparing the Ramsis I mummy's DNA with the other mummies dating back to BC 1293-1291.
