Egyptian actress Leila Elwi chairs film Jury in Rabat Festival

Egyptian actress Leila Elwi will be chairing the jury of the Hassan II film contest, held as part of the 8th Rabat festival.
Several European, African and Arab movies will be contesting for the Hassan II prize that will be awarded on July 13.
Elwi, who starred in several renowned Egyptian movies, will also be honored at a special ceremony on July 12. She obtained the best actress prize in the Egyptian movie festival of 1990.
In addition to the contest, the Rabat festival, July 6-25, also features the screening of over 50 movies, workshops on scenario writing and a conference on Palestinian cinema.
The public will further be entertained by music shows given by such renowned artists on the Arab scene as Marssel Khalifa, Kadhem Saher, Pascale Mashaalani, and Moroccan singers like Naima Samih and Abdelhadi Belkhiyate.
The Rabat festival will pay all the receipts of its activities and shows to support the Palestinian cause.
