Ministerial investment commission approves nine industrial projects

The Ministerial investment commission approved on Monday in its 25th session nine industrial investment projects conventions.
The approved conventions deal with the carrying out of a cement plant in Settat, extending and modernizing two food processing units, the building of two supermarkets in Casablanca and Marrakesh, the building of two electronic parts units and three apparel factories.
The total amount of the conventions, scheduled to generate 1,843 jobs, is estimated at 2.22 billion DH (US$ 211.8 million).
The commission also approved two tourism projects worth 496 million DH (US$ 47.2 million): one deals with the creation and renovation of hotels in Casablanca, Marrakesh, Rabat, Safi and Khouribga and the other provides for the carrying out of a major tourism compound.
Since its inception, the commission has approved a total of 191 projects and investment conventions, worth 72.64 billion DH (US$ 6.9 billion).
