Sudan: 33 men killed in tribal clashes

A spokesman for the Sudanese police said on Wednesday that three men were killed and other 30 wounded in confrontations that took place several days ago between two clans of one Sudanese tribe in one market in Khartoum quarters.
The spokesman Sayed al-Hussein told reporters that these clashes erupted on July 6 and witnessed clashes between 200- 250 men armed by arrows, knives and sticks. He added that the police interfered to restore back order and arrested 150 persons.
He explained that the reason behind the clashes is a row that took place several days ago between two men from Nweir tribe which is a migrant tribe living near Khartoum.
