Mubarak, al-Assad get message from Saudi crown prince on regional developments

Syria's President Bashar al- Assad on Wednesday received the Saudi Foreign Minister prince Saud al-Faisal. The meeting was attended by the Foreign Minister Farouk al-Shara.

Prince al-Faisal conveyed a message to President al-Assad from the Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz dealt with conditions in the Arab region.

Discussions dealt with developments on the regional arena and the debated thoughts and ideas at the international levels in order to maintain peace in the Middle East.

The Saudi crown prince was welcomed and seen off by al-Shara and high ranking foreign ministry officials.

President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt on Wednesday got a message from the Saudi crown prince pertinent to latest developments of conditions in the region. The message was conveyed by the Saudi crown prince during his meeting with President Mubarak in Cairo on Wednesday.

This flurry of meetings precede the meetings of the Arab Foreign Ministers in Cairo tomorrow and the meeting of the quartet committee in New York.

This meeting will be attended by officials from the States, EU, Russia, the UN and representatives from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan.
